This page describes what is measured when you read satorimeta.com, what it is used for, and how to switch it off. It covers this website only.
What is measured
Google Analytics 4 records page views: which page was opened, which language edition, which title's section, roughly which region the request came from, and the device and browser type. It stores cookies in your browser so repeat views within a visit can be counted as one. No name, email address or account is asked for anywhere on this site.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views as well. It uses no cookies and builds no profile of a visitor.
What it is used for
To see which pages and tools are actually read, and in which language, so that effort goes where it is useful. Figures are read as totals; they are not used to identify an individual reader.
Third parties
Measurement is run by Google (Google Analytics) and by Cloudflare, so what is described above is processed on their services under their own terms. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anyone else.
How to opt out
Install Google's opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies and scripts for this site in your browser or an extension. Every page and tool works the same either way.
